Character consistency

The rules

  1. Costume turnaround first. Generate one full-body shot of the character turning slowly in a neutral studio. Pick the sharpest front frame. That frame (plus a face close-up) is the reference for the whole film.
  2. One model per film. Two models draw the same reference differently.
  3. Identity block in every prompt. Name every item top to bottom: hair, glasses, top, jacket, trousers, socks, shoes, signature prop. Models drop jackets indoors — say "wearing the silver blazer" in indoor shots.
  4. Use the model's own character feature. For Kling 3.0, plain reference images can fail; create an Element (character) from 2–3 images — face close-up, full body, side view — and call it with @Name in the prompt.
  5. Check every face. Build a contact sheet of one frame per second per shot. Anything that looks like a different person is regenerated.

Identity block template

[NAME]: [age and build]. [Hair]. [Face details, glasses]. Wearing [item 1], [item 2], [item 3], [shoes]. [Signature prop]. Does not speak or sing; acts only with expression and body language.

Avoid list

different face, different hairstyle, missing jacket, extra people with the same face, text, logos, watermarks
