# Contact forms that never lose a lead

## Ask for less
Name, email, one messaging handle (Telegram, WhatsApp), budget, and "what do you need" in the person's own words. Every extra field loses people.

## Save first, then notify
1. Send the form to your own endpoint and store it (a key-value store or database) before anything else.
2. Then send the email notification. Email services can need activation, get blocked or go to spam; the stored copy means nothing is lost.
3. Show success if either step worked.
4. Keep a private page (protected by a secret link) that lists every message, newest first, in your time zone.

## When it fails
Say so plainly and give one other way to reach you (an email address). Do not send people to hunt through social media.

## Test on the live site
Submit a real test after every deploy and check that it arrives.
