# Songs that tell a story

1. **Story first.** Write the music video's story in five beats before any lyric: start, problem, turn, climax, ending.
2. **One line = one picture.** Every lyric line must describe something the camera can show. If you cannot picture it, rewrite it.
3. **Hold the title back.** Do not sing the song title in every chorus. Tell the story, then reveal the title in the final chorus.
4. **Mark the singing lines.** Pick 5–6 lines where the artist sings to camera (lip-sync). Everything else is dancing, wide shots or details, so lip-sync stays manageable.
5. **Generate 2–3 versions** of the song and pick the one with the clearest vocal and a clean ending.
